Nick’s top 3 reading list – wellbeing books
June 19, 2018
I guess these sorts of things are a very personal thing. They depend on where you are coming from and where you are going to.
In the modern age there are so many ways to ‘consume’ a book too. I wonder if my top Audible books would be the same as my top books that I have read in physical form.
And I wonder if a holiday read has a greater connection with me because of state of mind, versus one read at home.
Anyway, all the above are in this list:
- When the Body Says No – Gabor Mate
- Being Mortal – Atul Gawande
- The Reluctant Buddhist – William Woollard
- How Not to Die – Dr Michael Greger
And ‘When the Body Says No’ is a masterpiece of a health book. The one I wish I had written.
Thanks to Steve Turner of the amazing creative agency mark-marking* (a company I wish I had founded, so good is their work) and to Julia Simpson-Orlebar for asking for this list following my recent talk at Soho FarmHouse.
Happy reading and let me know what you think of these and if you have wellbeing books you recommend.
